The Christian Showing Courage In The Face of Adversity

Encounter Challenges

Bible believing Christians are often challenged by the world’s distorted views and belief systems. As followers of Christ called to live out our faith in this world, we must confront various obstacles that will test our resolve by reminding oneself as it is written in John 16:33, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Despite the everyday adversities, the Bible believing Christian is called to persevere with unshakable faith, and the faithful are sustained by the promise that our ultimate hope is not in this world but in the eternal Kingdom of God as it is written in Titus 1:2, In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began!

An End-Time Story

As the world progresses onward. We as the believer are not to confirm to the pattern of this world because we have been renewed by God’s spirit and truth. Lily Among Thorns is a Christian end-time story which expounds on the Biblical Truths where Bible prophecy comes alive!

Biblical Understanding

A Christian must always emerge oneself to study the Biblical truths and thereby increase their knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. This will enable the faithful to articulate the most fundamental doctrines and passages found within the Bible’s pages as it is written in Proverbs 9: 10, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

The Christian can then confidently share the understanding of the Gospel Jesus Christ, and also put on the full armor of God, to overcome false teachings and theological distortions, as it is written in Ephesians 6: 11, Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Moreover, when applied Biblical principles in the daily life for the purpose of being the salt of the earth. The best way to accomplish this goal is the continued study of the Holy Scriptures, and in doing so the believer provides a coherent understanding of the faith to the world as it is written in 2nd Timothy 4:2, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

The Wiles of the Enemy

The believer must always be aware of the wiles of the enemy, That Old Serpent,’ as it is written in Ephesians 6:11, Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Shun worldly distractions which may enable the faithful to drift into the enemy’s territory. From the daily reading of the Holy Scriptures, the believer is reminded of God’s promise to never leave us or forsake us, as it is written in Matthew 28:20, Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Spiritual growth comes through the reading of the Bible, and by the daily study of God’s Word the believer renews and is comforted by the encouragement of the Holy Scriptures and thereby remains steadfast deeply connected to the LORD as it is written in Psalms 68: 19, Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Note: Selah is a derivative of the Hebrew root sala, which means to”raise voices in praise”

Spiritual Guidance

Christians, look to the Bible for inspiration, for spiritual guidance, and prayer and worship comes naturally for the glorification of God. The Bible encourages the Christian by daily readings of the Biblical Truths of the Doctrine of Christ Jesus, provide the believer with God’s goodly purpose, and spiritual nourishment as it is written in John 6: 35, And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Christians may struggle with the world, but the believer is reminded by the Gospel, no weapon of the enemy formed against the faithful will prosper as it is written in Isaiah 54:17, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.

Rulers of Darkness

Being part of the family of God means all the Lord’s promises applies to our daily lives which help the believer to remain consistence in making the goodly choices as it pertains to life of the faithful as it is written in 2nd Peter 3:13, Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth. Wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The Christian shares the Gospel and virtues of mercy and forgiveness, and must rebuke the enemy ‘That Old Serpent,’ as it is written in Ephesians 6:12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Overcoming the Spiritual Battle

A constant spiritual battle between the forces of good and wickedness can no doubt make the world a dangerous place for the faithful. But praise God we have the Lord’s blessed assurance we have victory in Christ Jesus as it is written in 1st Corinthians 15: 57, But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The faithful may stumble, but God never failing the sincerity of a repentant heart rescues the believer to persevere as it is written in Daniel 6: 27, He delivereth and resueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Praise God for the LORD is merciful as it is written in Hebrews 8:12, For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more! Amen!

Note: Amen meaning “so be it”, or certainty, truth.
